This past year Jeremy Jones, an employee of one of the McCoy Management Companies, participated in a mission trip to Jamaica. Cross Point Ministries, Jeremy’s home church, has a ministry connection with various opportunities in Jamaica. Jeremy was part of a team that went on this mission trip.

The trip was divided into several different mission opportunities. When they first arrived in Montego Bay, they worked with the Blossom Garden Orphanage. They delivered much needed supplies, and gifts for the children. They also visited St. James Infirmary. While at the infirmary, they were able to bring supplies to them as well. They also had a time of worship with the people there. This brought joy to many who were in the infirmary.

Another aspect of Jeremy’s trip was that they worked with the Caribbean Outreach Church in Runaway Bay. There was a widow woman in the church that needed an additional space added to her house to make room for her family. In the process of beginning the remodeling, they found that the house was unstable do to rotten wood. So Jeremy’s team, along with the church members, “demoed” the house and built her a new house while they were there.

Jeremy’s team was also able to worship, and minister in a few other churches. Each evening they would have services for the various communities that they were in. They were able to see about 40 people that had made decisions for Christ.

All-in-all it was a great mission trip. We were able to share the love of Christ in so many ways. We had a very packed schedule with various ministry opportunities. We look forward to hear how the Lord will continue to use our trip to reach more people for Him in days to come.
