Grace Pointe is a new church plant on the east side of Chattanooga. Marcellus Barnes is the founding Pastor. Marcellus saw the need to reach the people from this area with the Gospel. But he didn’t stop there, Marcellus also uses education, nutrition, activities, and mentoring as ways to help reach people in the east Chattanooga area for Christ.
Character building is an important part of our outreach program through teaching resilience, perseverance, honesty, and accountability. Grace Pointe connects with Local Community Professionals from various occupations to come and speak to the children as mentors. These professionals discuss personal traits and obstacles that will allow them to become successful.
We believe that exposure to local leaders and professions in the community fosters attainable goals.
Our educational staff teach Bible lessons that inform children about the goodness of Christ and the love that He has for them. Each lesson contains memory verses, scripture references, teaching statements, activities and songs.
Coaching and Mentoring
Coaching and mentoring engage children in various activities for the following skills enhancement:
- Team building
- Conflict Resolution
- Respect for self and others
Grace Pointe provides the local community children who attend our program with a variety of nutritious foods. Our volunteers serve the children full meals at every event.
Grace Pointe have activities for the children for physical and mental wellness. The activities include arts and craft games, and sports.
